Music Rescue is a handy iPod accessory that will allow you to copy the contents of your iPod to any computer that has a FireWire port. This incredible application enables you to have a copy of all your music in case your computer fails, and besides, it is a very useful tool for managing music and contacts. As you copy music, the program sorts the copied files by artist and/or by album and has the ability to associate copied files with iTunes or any number of other MP3 player applications. If you use it to manage your contacts, the application scans the iPod you select for contacts and display them in a list, and you can then edit or create contacts that are saved automatically. Moreover, this version also detects iPod details automatically and identifies videos in the main track list, among other new features and fixes. What is more, Music Rescue works hand in hand with iTunes, since it scans your local iTunes library and compares it to your iPod, telling you which songs are and aren't in iTunes, and even which similar tracks are present.
